Wilde Wellness: 25 Personal Lessons That Will Help Improve Your Life

  • This world is tailored towards extroverts. If you are an introvert you need to work twice as hard to get ahead (we live in a world where if you are not expressing yourself, you are not seen).
  • Don’t let other people’s opinions affect your judgement of others.Their perception does not make it a reality.

  • Stop believing everything you see, read and hear in the media. This is only one narrative and to understand the whole picture, you need to do additional research for yourself.

  • Read books. Educate yourself on all the things that you’re interested in. Knowledge really is everything, and it will give you the tools you need to make better decisions.

  • It is never too late to study or to change course. Age is not a barrier, do not use it as an excuse to limit yourself.

  • You are not designed to be inside all day, your body and soul needs to be outside in the fresh air. Take your shoes off and walk on the grass and let the sun shine down on your face. Do this everyday.

  • Do not ignore the way someone makes you feel about yourself in order to keep them in your life.

  • The way people treat you is a reflection of themselves. People project their insecurities onto other people, so instead of reacting to everything, take a deep breath and move forward with understanding.

  • The bully will always tell you you’re causing drama because you chose to stand up for yourself and call someone out on their bullshit - they do that to segregate people and to move the focus from themselves on to others.

  • Social media’s #1 job is to tear apart our self esteem. If we liked the way we looked, loved our bodies and were happy to age gracefully, then a billion dollar industry would collapse. They need us to feel like shit. They need us to want to change everything about ourselves so that we keep buying the products they are all trying to sell us. They NEED us to chase perfection.

  • Stop focusing on other people’s lives. Wanting what other people have will only make you miserable. Focus on what YOU have.

  • Knowing and understanding the importance of nature and how we can heal ourselves with food and movement.

  • Don’t spend time with people that you don’t trust.

  • Always apologise if you are in the wrong. Self reflection will make you a better person.

  • Never find happiness in things. Always find it in human connection.

  • Communicate. Communicate. Communicate.

  • Never feel bad about asking for a pay rise. Know your worth. Be brave.

  • Never apologise for being sensitive. Feeling deeply, and having empathy for others is a gift.

  • Always be understanding of other people's struggles. You have no idea what path they have travelled and you have no right to cast judgement on the decisions they have made to survive.

  • Mother earth is fragile. Through small, everyday decisions you have the power to help it flourish or you have the power to destroy it.

  • Being different is your unique gift. Never water yourself down to please others.

  • Everybody carries some form of trauma, and to really dive into this and set yourself free, look into Shadow Work (diving into the unconscious material that shapes our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors).

  • Your stomach and brain are linked and imbalances can directly affect one another. An unhealthy stomach can cause Anxiety, Stress and Depression. Mental health issues can directly affect your stomach, and cause IBS, acid reflux etc - One of the best things you can do for your mental health is look after your stomach by eating a wide range of healthy organic foods.

  • The two best foods that need to be in your diet right now, Mushrooms and Chickpeas.

  • Lastly, stop cancelling people because they have different opinions and/or beliefs than you. A disagreement does not mean we have to then move forward with hate. Listening to others' opinions makes us kinder, more rounded human beings. If you truly believe that your opinion is the only one that matters, and anyone who varies away from that is your enemy then you truly are a part of the problem.
